It seems like the video site’s been with us all our lives. But in reality, YouTube is so young that it’s less than a third of the age of Justin Bieber.

1. David After Dentist
Young 7-year old David DeVore just came out of dental surgery and was sitting in the backseat of his father’s car. “Is… is this real life?” David asks his father. This video made DeVores family $150,000.
2. Numa Numa Guy
According to the BBC article dated November 27, 2006 the original Numa Numa video has been seen over 700,000,000 times worldwide – making it the second most viewed viral video in the world.
3. The Fully Sick Rapper
Christiaan Van Vuuren is a rising YouTube star despite his condition that limits his physical reach to within a quarantined hospital room. After being diagnosed with tuberculosis, Christiaan was forced to go under quarantine as required by Australia’s public health system
4.The Winnebago Man
When it comes to a classic viral video, the “Winnebago Man” has to come to mind. If you’ve never seen the video, here’s the description from the user who was the first to upload it onto YouTube:

5. Star Wars Kid
Ghyslain Raza was one of the first well known victims of cyberbullying. More commonly known as the “Star Wars Kid,” Raza was humiliated and embarrassed by students who attended his high school – Séminaire St-Joseph – a private institution in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Several students created a viral video that spread from the school to the web, which meant the entire world could watch it.
6. The Back Dorm Boys
The duo of Huang Yixin and Wei Wei lip-synced their way towards success – starting with the Backstreet Boys’ hit “I Want It That Way.”
Since then, the former students have signed a contract with Beijing-based media company Taihe Rye to continue their lip-syncing videos and to appear in Pepsi commercials. The Back Dorm Boys are also spokespeople for Motorola and Sina in China.
7. Kimbo Slice – MMA Fighter
Kimbo Slice rose to viral fame with his infamous street fight videos circulated through YouTube. He emerges victorious in all but one video, and his beatdowns attracted the attention of MMA organization EliteXC. He earned between $250,000 – $500,000 for each of his four fights with the company. Most recently, Slice competed in The Ultimate Fighter and fought in two official UFC bouts. After a loss to Matt Mitrione, Kimbo was released by the company.
8. Soulja Boy – Rapper
Soulja Boy had a number one hit with “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” when he was just 17-years old. His catchy song caught fire in large part due to his popular instructional video where he teaches you how to “Crank That.” here is Soulja Boy’s 1st EVER YouTube Video!
9. Boom Goes The Dynamite
“… Later he gets the rebound. Passes it to the man. Shoots it. And boom goes the dynamite.” It sounds like a SportsCenter sound bite, but those lines were uttered in March 2005 by aspiring reporter Brian Collins during a “Newslink@9” broadcast – Ball State University’s student-run newscast.
10. Charlie bit my finger – again !
Here’s the description from the user who was the first to upload it onto YouTube: “Even had I thought of trying to get my boys to do this I probably couldn’t have. Neither were coerced into any of this and neither were hurt (for very long anyway). This was just one of those moments when I had the video camera out because the boys were being fun and they provided something really very funny.”
