SAMSUNG Galaxy Note 2 vs Galaxy S3 – Comparison !

After achieving quite a good success with S3 Samsung launched its new handset Galaxy Note 2 which gives the customers all the perfect reasons to buy it. To be precise, the facts about the two handsets reveal that the newer one is almost similar to S3 except that it has got a much bigger screen and a stylus pen to use the touch screen in it. In this article we compare in a bit more depth concerning all the specs of the two handsets.

Weight, Size and Display

The Galaxy Note 2 weighs about 180 gm while S3 weighs about 133 gm. The screen size of Note2 is 5.5 inches which brings the phone in the category of the usual tablets while for the other one the screen size is 4.8 inches which is also not lagging in the race with the other smartphones. Hence the Note 2 is rightly referred as the ‘Phablet’, proving it to be the combination of both phone and a tablet.

It we talk about the display of the two handsets, the fact is that they both are having the same screen resolutions of 1280* 720 pixels however the screen density of S3 is around 305 ppi while it is 267 ppi for Note 2. Hence the conclusion comes that you will find the display quality of S3 somewhat better than that of Samsung Galaxy Note

OPERATING SYSTEM

It is not hard to guess about the software of the two phones. Still, to be accurate tha latest Note2 is having the latest version of Android OS with 4.1 jellybean version in it giving so many impressive features in it while the S3 is still having Android 4.0 ice-cream sandwich. But the latter phone is also planned to get to the latest version of Android very soon.

PROCESSOR

The processor in Note 2 is slightly ahead of S3 with the Exynos 4412 quad-core Cortex-A9 system in it featuring a speed of 1.6 Ghz while the clocking speed for the processor of S3 is 1.4 Ghz. Hence the Note2 is slightly more powerful than S3.

STORAGE

The Note2 model is expected to come with an internal storage of 16, 32, and 64 GB of storage. In addition to that it is also having expandable memory slot which can accept a micro-Sd card of 64 GB. All of these facts remain same for the S3 as well.

CAMERA

The rear camera for both the models are set to 8 megapixel while in terms of front camera, S3 is a bit ahead of the Note2 with its 2 megapixels camera which is 1.9 megapixels in Note2.

BATTERY

Note 2 is having a battery of 3100 mAh which is massive in comparison to the 2200 mAh battery of S3.

PRICE

The price of Galaxy Note 2 is Rs. 38,000 while that of Galaxy has seen a decrease in recent days and is around Rs. 35,000.

Galaxy note itself is huge in screensize with 5 inches now note 2 with 5.55 inches is not for a normal user,galaxy s3 is ok with 4.8inches.
And the prices are too much for a average user,iam looking forward for the lg nexus and lg optimus g, and asus padfone 2 to be released as these three have quad core processors with 2gb ram.Lets see what they are priced at.

Well I feel that Note 2 is a better choice if one is going for a very high handset above 35 k price level.
Specially the Ram and the processor, won’t let any interrupt in between heavy gaming.
