Big Launcher is a large home screen optimized for elderly people or those with poor eye sight. It makes use of large icons and fonts for the most basic and important functions such as telephone, SMS messages, camera, gallery, SOS button and installed applications.
The SOS icon can automatically dial a pre-defined numer or send a text message and GPS coordinates. The buttons can also be customized for individual needs.
They are available in three different color schemes- Light for normal usage, Dark for people with retinitis pigmentosa, and Blue with yellow text for ideal readability. The launcher is ideal for elderly people as well as children who would regularly use the basic functions. Other applications of the phone can be used as usual.
The app is available on Google Play Store for around $1 and a free version with limited features.
