By offering the lowest price, Amazon has been successful to drive away the other tablet users towards own self. But the price did not do the job, rather it is the improved technologies, which other tablets could not offer even with some extra $150 -$200. Let us see what new technologies Amazon offered in its new tablet Kindle Fire HD:
Display with polarizing filter: All HD displays offer great resolution to the user. What makes the Kindle fire HD different, even from other good quality HD displays, is its rich color and deep contrast. Whatever you want watch on your Kindle fire HD; movies, TV shows or other videos, they will come in life for you. The new Amazon tablet has improved the display technology with advanced polarizing filter. This polarizing filter attached directly to the LCD panel allows seeing the same crisp, beautiful and vivid video even from an angle. You can now enjoy your reading or watching movies, if you are relaxing on bed sideways or sharing the screen with a friend or laying your tablet flat on the table without any sacrifice to the display quality.
Anti-glare technology: Usually the displays of the tablets are made of two pieces of glass, an LCD and a touch sensor on top of it, leaving an air gap in between. Light reflects through every surface including the air gap and results multiple reflections. These distracting reflections minimize the contrast of the display. Amazon has solved this problem in their new ‘Kindle fire HD’ tablet. They have laminated the touch sensor and the LCD together. The new display of this tablet allows seeing even with a bright daylight. Advanced high definition touch screen display makes the movie time real, along with the improved Dolby digital plus sound system.
Dual band, Dual antenna Wi-Fi: Kindle fire HD is the first tablet to introduce the feature of 40{70e867cd2e68ee364b0db292aa41535b9c15b30eb7036e6526ebd577e85c0c0a} faster Wi-Fi with dual antennas. This technology allows reception and transmission over the both antennas simultaneously. As a result, streaming is much faster, if compared to any other tablet at the same wireless hotspot.
Another advanced technology used in this tablet is the capability of automatically switching between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi frequencies, while other tablet can only operate in 2.4Ghz frequency. This enables the device to have less interference and better range when lots of other Wi-Fi devices are active in the same area.
X-ray for movies, books: Kindle fire HD uses resource of IMDP to offer ‘X-Ray service’ for movies. This means while playing a movie, just with one tap on the screen, you can learn about the scene, the actors on the scene. Then, you can jump to the other pages of other movies, where they have acted as well.
The X-Ray service for books works in collaboration of Wikipedia and Shelfari. One tap on the screen allows one to reach the X-Ray service and instantly you can find chapters and locations that mention ideas, characters, and important places, as well as background info, biographies, and more, as you look for.

One reply on “4 advanced technology that Amazon introduced in ‘Kindle fire HD’”
It’s nice to know that Amazon embedded some neat features into the Fire. But I have to disagree on the fact that it drove other tablets away. Amazon’s Kindle Fire sales have actually been declining ever since Apple’s iPad came into the picture. And with the iPad Mini in, the sales have virtually gone below acceptable levels.
